STRUKTOL® WB 222 is a rubber processing additive designed to support efficient compounding and processing of a wide range of elastomers. It is a highly concentrated, water-free blend of high molecular weight aliphatic fatty acid esters and condensation products. The product is primarily used as an emulsion plasticizer, dispersing agent, and processing aid during rubber mixing, extrusion, and molding operations.
WB 222 is commonly incorporated to improve filler dispersion and flow behavior during processing, enabling smoother compound handling without significantly affecting the properties of powdered raw materials. Its use can assist in faster filler incorporation, reduced compound sticking on rotors and rolls, and improved mold filling during injection and transfer molding. The additive is suitable for both sulfur and peroxide curing systems and is applied across various rubber grades, including polar elastomers.
STRUKTOL® WB 222 is supplied in bead, pastille, or powder form and demonstrates good storage stability under normal conditions. It is widely used in industrial rubber compounding where consistent processing behavior and ease of manufacturing are required.
