PE Wax AC 617A (Honeywell) | Polyethylene Wax for Rubber, Plastics & Industrial Applications

PE Wax AC 617A polyethylene wax powder for rubber and plastics
Product Overview

PE Wax AC 617A is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer supplied in powdered form. It is designed for use across rubber, plastics, coatings, inks, adhesives, and wax-based formulations where controlled lubrication, surface modification, and processing support are required. In rubber and polymer processing, polyethylene waxes are commonly used as internal and external lubricants to improve flow behavior, reduce processing friction, and support consistent dispersion of fillers and additives.

AC 617A is also used in solvent-borne coatings and printing inks to improve surface characteristics such as rub resistance and abrasion resistance by reducing the coefficient of friction. In adhesive and hot-melt systems, it functions as a viscosity modifier and processing aid, while in wax blends it can act as a paraffin crystal nucleator. Due to its defined melting behavior and non-reactive nature, PE Wax AC 617A is suitable for a wide range of industrial formulations where thermal stability and processing consistency are required.
