Paraffinic Oil RPO 201 is a paraffinic-type rubber processing oil manufactured by IPOL and used as a processing aid in natural and synthetic rubber compounding. During rubber processing, multiple ingredients are blended to achieve desired compound characteristics, which can make mixing, extrusion, and moulding operations difficult. Paraffinic Oil RPO 201 is added as a lubricant to improve the processability of rubber compounds by lubricating hydrocarbon chains within the formulation.
This oil is characterized by its relatively light colour, high flash point, and suitable viscosity for rubber processing applications. It provides effective lubricity and solvency compared to commonly used aromatic and naphthenic oils. The use of Paraffinic Oil RPO 201 supports improved dispersion of reinforcing fillers and other compounding ingredients, helping to reduce compound viscosity and facilitate smoother processing.
