Aerosil 200 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of approximately 200 m²/g. It is widely used as a silica-based rheology control additive in coating formulations and related systems. The product is composed primarily of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) with high purity and controlled particle characteristics.
Due to its high surface area and fine particle structure, Aerosil 200 is incorporated into formulations to assist in viscosity adjustment and structural control. It is suitable for waterborne and solventborne systems, radiation-curing coatings, and both 1-pack and 2-pack coating systems.
The material is supplied as a light, fluffy powder and can be added directly to formulations or introduced as a pre-dilution depending on processing requirements.
