Accinox BL is a heat-resistant, anti-flex cracking antioxidant used in rubber compounding. It is a condensation product of acetone and diphenylamine and is supplied as a dark brown viscous liquid. The product is designed to provide resistance against heat ageing and flex cracking in rubber compounds subjected to dynamic and thermal stress.
Accinox BL is classified as a staining antioxidant and may cause discoloration due to migration. It is particularly suitable for tyre compounds, belting, and a wide range of mechanical rubber goods. In tread rubber compounds stored at room temperature for extended periods, Accinox BL helps suppress sulphur blooming. Due to its good dispersibility characteristics, it is commonly used in soft rubber compounds such as cushion gum. It can also function as a stabilizer in the production of oil-extended SBR.
