Description:

Aflux 16 is an excellent processing promoter for EPDM and IIR rubber compounds.

Lab Line Enterprises sells Aflux 16 from Rhein Chemie (a business unit of Lanxess).

Composition:

- Aflux 16 comprises of calcium salts of natural fatty acids in combination with amide ester waxes.

Appearance::

- Beige Pastilles

Advantages:

- Improves dispersion of the ingredients.

- Improves slippage of compound and hence increases flow of compound inside the mould.

- Reduces mixing time and energy requirements.

- Eases demoulding of vulcanizate.

- Reduces sticking of compound to mixing mills.

- Improves dimensional stability.

- Has an activating effect on the crosslinking rate of sulphur cross- linked polymer compounds.

- Improves surface properties and structure.

Processing:

- Aflux 16 can be used with both mixing mill as well as internal mixer. For better results, aflux 16 should be added just before mixing cycle.

Dosage:

- EPDM, ACM: 1-3phr

- IIR, BIIR, CIIR: 2-5phr

- IR, BR, CR: 2-3phr
