Antilux 654 is a unique anti-check wax that protects rubber articles against degradation caused by ozone and other weathering occurrences.
Lab Line Enterprises sells Antilux 654 from Rhein Chemie (a business unit of Lanxess).
- Antilux 654 is a ideal combination of selected micro-waxes and paraffins with suitable molecular weight distribution.
- white to yellowish pastilles
- Antilux 654 is highly soluble in the rubber matrix and hence migrates to the surface of the rubber article.
- While migrating to the surface, it takes anti oxidants and anti oxonants to the surface forming a protective film on the surface.
- This protective film is stable at a wide range if temperatures ranging form -10°C to about 50 °C.
- This protective film is stable against dynamic stresses too.
- Antilux 654 comes in a flake form which is highly suitable for weighing and mixing.
- Addition of Antilux 654 at the beginning of mixing cycle ensures good dispersion.
- Antilux 654 melts around 65°C and hence the mixing temperature should exceed 65°C.
- Tire: 1-4phr
- Other rubber articles: <10phr
- Antilux 654 can be used in Tires and technical rubber articles.
- Noteworthy results are seen in conveyor belts, cable, profiles, etc used at higher service temperatures.
- Antilux 654 meets test specifications at ozone chamber temperatures of about 45 °C.
