Accinox 445 is a heat-resistant, slightly staining antioxidant based on substituted diphenylamine chemistry (4,4’-Bis (α,α-dimethylbenzyl) diphenylamine). It is designed to protect natural rubber (NR) and synthetic elastomers from thermal and oxidative degradation during processing and service life.
The product is stable at elevated temperatures and is commonly used in NR, BR, SBR, NBR, CR, EPDM, acrylic rubber and H-NBR compounds. It is suitable for applications requiring resistance to heat aging and embrittlement. Accinox 445 can also be used in latex compounds including SBR, carboxylated SBR and NR, often in dispersion form.
In peroxide-cured systems, particularly EPDM and H-NBR, it is used as part of antioxidant systems for high-temperature applications. It is supplied as a white to off-white powder and is insoluble in water but soluble in common organic solvents such as acetone and toluene.
