Chemlok 5151 is a one-coat, solvent-based industrial adhesive designed for bonding uncured fluoroelastomers to metal substrates. It is used in elastomer-to-metal bonding processes where consistent adhesion and controlled application are required. The product is suitable for bonding fluoroelastomers, including FKM types, and can also be used with phosphatized metal surfaces.
The adhesive is supplied as a low-viscosity liquid, allowing application by brush, dip, or spray methods. Dip application is commonly used to maintain uniform adhesive film thickness. Chemlok 5151 is compatible with both bisphenol- and peroxide-curing elastomer systems and accommodates a wide range of post-cure conditions as specified in manufacturer guidelines.
