Chemlok 608 Adhesive for Silicone Rubber Bonding | Lord Parker

Chemlok 608 adhesive container for silicone rubber bonding
Product Overview

Chemlok® 608 is a one-coat adhesive developed for bonding unvulcanized silicone elastomers to a range of rigid substrates in industrial rubber-to-substrate bonding processes. It is suitable for use with peroxide-cured silicone elastomers such as VMQ, PMQ, and PVMQ grades. The adhesive is typically applied as a diluted solution and forms a thin, uniform coating prior to bonding and vulcanization.

Chemlok 608 is designed for applications where simplified processing is required, as it uses a single-coat system rather than multi-layer primer/covercoat combinations. The product is compatible with many commercially available silicone compounds, including those that require post-curing. It is commonly used in molded rubber-to-metal or rubber-to-rigid substrate components where silicone elastomers are specified.

The adhesive can be air-dried at room temperature or force-dried using moderate heat, depending on process requirements. Chemlok 608 is intended for industrial and commercial use by trained personnel, following the procedures outlined in the official technical documentation
