CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene Resin) for Rubber & PVC Compounds

CPE resin for cable rubber and flame retardant compounds
Product Overview

Chlorinated Polyethylene Resin (CPE) is a chlorine-containing elastomer widely used in rubber compounding, particularly in PVC, wire & cable and flame-retardant applications. Due to its saturated polymer backbone and chlorine content (~36%), CPE provides inherent resistance to flame propagation while maintaining elastomeric flexibility.

Keliren CPE 6325 is designed for efficient processing, offering good extrusion flow and fast plasticization during rubber mixing and shaping operations. It is suitable for blending with various elastomers, including chloroprene rubber (CR), NBR, and EPDM, making it a versatile material for cable compounds and industrial rubber goods.

In cable applications, CPE is used either as a base polymer or as a blending component to support flame-retardant formulations. It also enables partial replacement of higher-cost polymers such as neoprene (CR), helping optimize compound cost while maintaining processing consistency and functional characteristics.
