High Styrene Rubber (HSR 558), also referred to as Apcotex SR 558 / Rubber 1958, is a high styrene rubber grade used in rubber compounding where increased hardness, surface finish, and reinforcement are required. It is commonly blended with natural rubber and synthetic elastomers such as SBR, NBR, EPDM, and EVA to modify compound characteristics during processing.
This material is supplied in light tan solid form and contains non-staining antioxidant as per manufacturer data. It is suitable for moulded and extruded rubber goods. Typical applications include footwear soles, micro-cellular sheets, automotive rubber parts, and industrial rubber components.
