Zinc Oxide Active (Lanxess) – Vulcanization Activator for Rubber Compounds

Zinc Oxide Active Lanxess rubber vulcanization activator powder
Product Overview

Zinc Oxide Active is a finely precipitated zinc oxide grade designed for use as a vulcanization activator in rubber compounding. It is characterized by its extremely fine particle size and high specific surface area, which enable efficient interaction within rubber matrices. This product is suitable for use in both natural and synthetic elastomers, including latex systems.

It functions effectively in sulfur, thiuram, and peroxide curing systems, and can also act as a crosslinking agent in metal oxide curable elastomers such as chloroprene rubber (CR). Due to its high activity, it may allow lower dosage levels compared to conventional zinc oxide grades, depending on formulation requirements.

The material exhibits good dispersion characteristics and can be incorporated easily into rubber compounds. It is also used in applications requiring low zinc oxide concentration, such as transparent and translucent rubber products. Additionally, it contributes to improved dimensional stability and thermal conductivity in certain processing conditions.
